DESIGNER
Ted Muehling

US-American designer Ted Muehling who in 1975 graduated from the Pratt Institute, has always been inspired by organic forms found. Since 1976, he has been designing jewelry and decorative objects and he collaborated with renowned manufacturers like Nymphenburg Porcelain, E. R. Butler, Steuben Glass, and J. & L. Lobmeyr, In his New York studio, Ted Muehling produces delicate objects that reflect the manifold forms and sensual surfaces of appearances of nature.

The study of nature served him again as starting point for his first design collection for the Wiener Silber Manufactur: Easy-to-touch shell-shaped spice pots, candleholders and vases in form of long-leaved fern – elegant objects that illustrate a new facet of silversmith art.
