Alexandre Echasseriau, who is himself a qualified metalworker but who had hitherto never worked with silver, was very impressed by the skills of the silversmiths The designer and craftsmen immediately hit it off and agreed to create something quite unique, whilst, at the same time, not forgetting the functionality of the piece.
„ICE-BERG“ is an impressive cooling tank in the shape of an Alpine landscape with three mountain peaks. By filling the tank with ice, the silver fogs up and a thin layer of frost settles at the mountain peaks. The melt water flows down the smooth surfaces and collects at the bottom of a deepened plate, forming a small lake around the silver mountains.
Alexandre Echasseriau created "ICE-BERG" for Vienna Design Week 2015 and is a limited edition of 9 pieces.
