Classics OTTO PRUTSCHER Bonbonniere with Silver Ball, 1920s
Otto Prutscher's Bonbonniere is among the key works in his oeuvre. This piece continues in the tradition of the boldest ideas of the Wiener Werkstätte. The oval, lidded container sits on an extremely slender eight-shafted column, which is decorated by four sharp-edged wings at mid-height.
The foot echoes the smooth oval of the body, which hovers at a height like a spaceship.
