Cutlery / Designer
Purity of form is the particular feature of Otto Prutscher's cutlery, a first masterpiece of Viennese Art Déco: clearly in the tradition of Josef Hoffmann, but imbued with the spirit of a new age.
The lines of the handles are unusual: a rounded thread runs along the two outside edges. The forks and spoons reveal interesting solutions at the bottom of the handle, where the threads stop before the end of the central main part. In the knife the thread runs completely around the end of the handle, which is rounded. A design with an understated elegance.
