Dutch designer Aldo Bakker is known for his aesthetic objects. In his imagination, his hand gives shape to the smooth oval basic form. At the front, it pushes in the beak – imaginary coming from above. Backwards, it is an indentation from below that makes a handle. Aldo Bakker's favorite objects are vessels with spouts: "A vessel can be related to itself … I ask about the relationship between handle, hollow body, beak. It's a very satisfying subject for me." The carafe was first shown in Paris in October 2020 at Aldo Bakker's show SLOW MOTION at Carpenters Workshop Gallery.
