London-based Spaniard Tomás Alonso designed a "bar set" of cool elegance for Wiener Silber Manufactur. A cylindrical pitcher is accompanied by straight glass tumblers and a low ice cube bowl. The ensemble stands on a round silver tray with raised rim. The highlight of the design is the grooves that run through both the tray and the undersides of the vessels. The grooves on the tray and dishes interlock to prevent slippage. And they create an attractive pattern of lines on the smooth wall of the pitcher. Grooved silver tongs complete the set.
