Josef Hoffmann developed a refined composition of eight leaves from the classical eight-sided basic form. Each leaf projects slightly beyond the next. This yields a round basic shape with rifts that lend the martelé hammering of the sides a lively rhythm. Reissued after an original drawing in our archives.
